Alysa is a Partner working out of the firm’s Chicago office.  Alysa also contributes significantly to the firm’s New York practice, where she started and developed her legal career.

Alysa has significant experience in managing all aspects of pre-trial litigation on behalf of a variety of corporate clients in both New York and Illinois. She has also served as second-chair on multiple trials throughout New York State.  Alysa’s passion is written legal advocacy.  She has authored dozens of motions, including dispositive, discovery, and trial-related motions, resulting in several successful decisions in various courts.  Alysa also co-authored a successful appeal in New York’s First Department of the Appellate Division, resulting in a reversal of a multi-million dollar verdict, and further clarification on the jurisprudence as it relates to causation standards in toxic tort litigation.  She continues to be heavily involved in analyzing and digesting the various substantive developments in toxic tort litigation across the country in order to develop novel defense strategies on behalf of our clients. Alysa is admitted in both New York and Illinois.

In addition to her legal career, Alysa is an accomplished author.  While in law school, she served as the Senior Articles Editor of the Hofstra Law Review.  Her Note, Stripping Down the Reasonableness Standard: The Problems with Using In Loco Parentis To Define Students’ Fourth Amendment Rights, was published in the Hofstra Law Review.  While in college, she co-authored a book upon completion of an internship: Camp Hollis: The Origins of Oswego County’s Children’s Camp.

When not zealously advocating for her clients, Alysa enjoys Chicago Cubs baseball, learning Japanese, and going on various food-related adventures.
