Susan Charters is a Partner in The Cook Group’s Buffalo, NY office.  

Susan concentrates her practice on the defense of toxic tort, product liability and mass torts with an emphasis on asbestos litigation. In addition, Susan represents clients in pharmaceutical litigation, premises liability and general negligence matters.

Susan has extensive jury trial experience having tried numerous cases in the New York City Asbestos Litigation (“NYCAL”) garnering favorable outcomes for our clients. For the last decade, she has represented local, national and multi-national product manufacturers in a wide range of product liability matters. 

Previously, Susan was a litigation associate at prominent New York City law firms, defending complex medical malpractice actions and high-dollar exposure insurance coverage litigation on behalf of global insurers. Susan began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, where gained significant courtroom experience prosecuting a high volume of felony and misdemeanor cases.
