Caitlin “Cat” Blake is an associate attorney at The Cook Group's St. Louis office. Her practice focuses on intellectual property and healthcare-related disputes, where she leverages her strong background in both law and biomolecular science.
Cat earned her Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law, where she was awarded the full-tuition Scholars in Law Award for her academic excellence. During her time in law school, Cat was actively involved with the Intellectual Property Law Society and served as an Admissions Ambassador. She also gained practical legal experience as a summer associate, drafting memoranda and motions for insurance and healthcare disputes and assisting in trial preparation.
Before pursuing a career in law, Cat worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Washington University School of Medicine, managing clinical oncology studies and coordinating patient trials. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomolecular Science from the University of Michigan, where she gained significant research experience in both clinical and laboratory settings.
Cat is admitted to the Missouri State Bar is also licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Her scientific expertise, combined with her legal skills, allows her to provide clients with a unique and informed perspective in matters involving intellectual property and healthcare. In addition to her professional pursuits, Cat has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications in the fields of immunology and respiratory research.
