Job Summary:

  • We are seeking one to two associates to join our Florida office.
  • The ideal candidate must be organized and able to handle a high-volume case load, able to develop appropriate defense strategies, receptive to feedback and taking direction but also self-motivated to meet goals in a timely manner.
  • Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing files for defense from inception to resolution, extensive reporting and communication with clients and insurers, conducting depositions, preparing and arguing motions, and trial preparation.
  • Practice areas include, but are not limited to, General Liability Defense, Property and Casualty, Product Liability, Commercial Litigation, Toxic Tort, and Construction.

Requirements:

  • Admission to the Florida State Bar is a must. Admission to the New York, New Jersey, Missouri, Illinois, and/or Pennsylvania State Bar is a plus.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience, preferably in defense litigation.
  • A self-starter with superior research and analytical skills.
  • Superb writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.

We are looking to add an associate to our growing products liability, commercial litigation, and general liability practices. Job responsibilities will include research and writing, taking/defending depositions, preparing pleadings, motion drafting, responding to discovery, case investigation, appearing at court hearings, pre-trial filings and participating in trial and appellate practice.
The right candidates will be eager to learn, self-motivated and possess above-average writing skills with an attention to detail. Relevant experience in civil litigation is preferred, but not required. Recent law school graduates with relevant interests and background will be considered.
