Jocelynn Jordan-Kerzner is an associate attorney in The Cook Group’s Chicago office, where her practice focuses on insurance defense and complex civil litigation. She has experience handling the defense of matters involving premises liability, transportation, construction, contract disputes, first-party coverage litigation, and toxic torts. Jocelynn has managed cases from inception through resolution, with responsibilities including deposition practice, court appearances, drafting and defending dispositive motions, and overseeing all phases of discovery.
Before joining The Cook Group, Jocelynn served as a judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court of Cook County, where she gained extensive experience analyzing and drafting rulings on dispositive motions across a wide array of legal issues. She also supported litigation efforts at the state and federal level, including civil rights matters and family law disputes.
Jocelynn earned her Bachelor’s from the University of Memphis in Political Science and World Languages. She then earned her J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where she was awarded a Dean’s Scholarship and earned a Business Law Certificate. During her time in law school, she also served as a Family Law Fellow while employed as a legal administrator of a boutique Chicago-area law where she supported litigation strategy and trial preparation.
She is admitted to practice in Illinois, and before the United States District Courts for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. Jocelynn is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Jocelynn enjoys spending time with her husband, Mitch, and their adorable beagle Cobbler.
