Mahum Vance is an Associate Attorney in The Cook Group’s New York City office. Her practice encompasses a broad range of litigation matters, with a focus on products liability and mass torts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mahum served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gary N. Wilcox, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey where she handled complex criminal matters and a range of pretrial motions, petitions for post-conviction relief, and municipal appeals. Her background also includes experience working at a big law firm’s sustainability advisory practice as well as a legal aid organization’s wrongful conviction unit.
During law school, Mahum served as a Criminal Procedure teaching assistant, research assistant for Professor Penelope Andrews, and Executive Member of the Moot Court Association. She was also honored as a New York State Pro Bono Scholar.
Mahum holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. in Politics, with a minor in English Literature, from Occidental College. She is admitted to practice in New York.
