Thomas Gordon is an Associate Attorney in The Cook Group’s Chicago office. His practice focuses on complex litigation, with experience spanning general liability, employment matters, and commercial disputes.
Thomas brings a strong background in motion practice, discovery strategy, and case development, informed by his work in both private practice and judicial settings. He has contributed to all phases of litigation, including drafting dispositive motions, managing e-discovery, negotiating settlements, and participating in mediations and depositions. His judicial internships with the Wisconsin Supreme Court and the Wisconsin Court of Appeals further deepened his understanding of legal analysis, appellate writing, and court procedure.
Thomas earned his J.D. cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he served as a note and comment editor for the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society and was active in multiple student organizations focused on international law, employment law, and community engagement. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago. Thomas grew up in the Chicago area and London. In his spare time, Thomas is an avid Chicago sports fan and Fulham FC supporter.
He is admitted to practice law in Illinois and Wisconsin.
