John Naliwajko is an associate in The Cook Group’s Chicago office. His practice focuses on civil litigation, including product liability, toxic tort, construction disputes, insurance defense, and municipal matters.
John has experience managing complex litigation from inception through resolution. His work includes drafting motions and pleadings, handling discovery, participating in depositions, and providing regular case analysis and client updates. He has also worked directly with municipal general counsel on a variety of legal issues and has served as a municipal prosecutor.
John has broad litigation experience in both the public and private sectors, with a background that includes toxic tort defense, medical malpractice defense, commercial litigation, real estate, and in-house legal support for large corporations. He has handled a wide range of legal matters, from vendor agreements and mergers to disability law and policy development.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where he participated in the Veterans Clinic and completed the Summer Associate Training Program. John received his Bachelor of Arts in Business from Benedictine University, graduating with a perfect GPA. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and is eligible to practice in all Uniform Bar Exam jurisdictions.
