David Kim is an associate in The Cook Group’s California office. His practice focuses on toxic torts litigation, drawing on a diverse background in estate planning, compliance, personal injury, and public health litigation.
David has experience drafting and managing estate plans for individuals, families, and business owners, including high-net-worth clients. His work has included trust and estate administration, real property documentation, and probate petitions. He also brings valuable compliance experience, having supported a major technology company’s legal team by processing criminal legal process requests from federal and state agencies nationwide.
Earlier in his career, David served as a law clerk across several government agencies and public interest organizations, where he worked on matters involving Medicaid litigation, healthcare privacy compliance, estate recovery cases, public transit liability, and complex civil litigation against major corporations. His work has involved trial preparation, motion practice, client advocacy, and regulatory analysis.
David earned his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law, where he was recognized with a Merit Scholarship and the Faculty Scholar Award. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in U.S. History from the University of California, Riverside. He is admitted to practice law in California.
