EDUCATION & COURT ADMISSIONS
Kara received her B.A. in Political Science and Business Management from Adelphi University, Garden City, New York where she graduated Cum Laude in 2004. Kara spent her last semester in college interning on Capitol Hill, in Washington D.C., with Congressmen Engel of the 16th District of New York. Kara received her Juris Doctor from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University in 2008 and was admitted to the Florida bar in September 2008.
LEADERSHIP, MEMBERSHIP & HONORS
Kara has served on the Board of Directors of the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida (HACCOF) and the board of the Haitian Lawyers Association and was the 2016 recipient of the Beacon of Hope and Achievement Award presented by the Consulate of the Republic of Haiti in Miami. She was also recognized as an Honorary YOPRO Top 20 Under 40 by the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce in 2017.
Kara is fluent in French, Creole and Spanish.
