Rabiyah Mujahid is an Associate in The Cook Group's Chicago office, where she represents clients in complex civil litigation.
Prior to joining The Cook Group, Rabiyah practiced with a national plaintiffs' firm, where she supported all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, preparing and defending depositions, negotiating settlements, issuing subpoenas, and assisting with trial preparation.
During law school, Rabiyah gained valuable experience through legal positions with the Chicago Transit Authority, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the Health Justice Project. These roles provided experience in litigation, labor and employment matters, regulatory compliance, healthcare law, contract review, and public policy. Earlier in her career, she served as a paralegal with Community Legal Services in Philadelphia, where she helped provide legal services to underserved communities and assisted clients in securing access to critical public benefits.
Rabiyah earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was a Pugh Kaufman Scholar and earned Certificates in Health Law and Compliance. She received the Leadership, Service, and Public Interest Award and served as Secretary of the Black Law Students Association and the Treasurer of the Student Government Association. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, with a minor in Pre-Law, from Arcadia University.
Rabiyah is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois.
Outside of her practice, Rabiyah enjoys community service and remains passionate about expanding access to justice and advocating for underserved communities.
