Yanan Wang is an Associate Attorney in The Cook Group’s Philadelphia office, where she focuses her practice on toxic tort and complex litigation matters. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and brings a rigorous, research-driven approach to motion practice and case strategy.
Yanan joined The Cook Group as a Summer Associate before returning to the firm as an Associate Attorney following her law school graduation. She brings a strong analytical foundation to all stages of litigation, including liability analysis, legal research and writing, and the preparation of detailed memoranda to support dispositive motions and case strategy. She is particularly experienced in synthesizing large volumes of legal authority and record evidence into concise, practice-ready work product.
Yanan earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, where she served as an Associate Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal and was a member of the Moot Court team. Her academic work emphasized written advocacy, oral argument, and dispute resolution, including participation in mediation competitions through the Dispute Resolution Society.
Prior to joining The Cook Group, Yanan gained experience at Pfizer Inc. as a 1L Summer Scholar, where she analyzed emerging legal and regulatory issues related to artificial intelligence and assisted in the development of internal legal resources. She also participated in a compassionate-release pro bono project, drafting legal memoranda and coordinating with outside counsel. She previously worked at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, supporting firm-wide data analysis and client reporting initiatives.
Yanan earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Political Science, magna cum laude, from Syracuse University, where she was named a Chancellor’s Scholar and held multiple leadership roles within student organizations.
Yanan is known for her clear written advocacy and ability to manage complex legal issues with precision and efficiency. Outside of her legal practice, Yanan enjoys staying active and spending time with her dog.
