Albert Oduro is an associate attorney at The Cook Group, based in the firm's New York City office. Albert has extensive experience in real estate litigation, trust and estates, and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on landlord and tenant disputes, transactional real estate, and courtroom advocacy.
Albert earned his Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law in 2021, where he was an active member of the Fordham Law Moot Court Board and the Fordham Urban Law Journal. He was also recognized as a Crowley Scholar for his contributions to the Crowley Program in International Human Rights. Albert holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stony Brook University, graduating cum laude.
Before joining The Cook Group, Albert represented landlords and cooperative corporations in nonpayment, holdover, and post-eviction proceedings. He also gained valuable litigation experience during that time, working in both trust and estates and commercial litigation, as well as transactional real estate. His work included managing legal matters from inception, engaging in discovery, and drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as loan agreements and pleadings.
Albert has also contributed to international human rights efforts, serving as a legal intern for the International Human Rights Clinic, where he researched international laws and collaborated with human rights organizations to support victims of enforced disappearances.
