Caitlyn Marino is an Associate in The Cook Group’s New York City office.
Caitlyn focuses her practice on complex litigation matters. Prior to joining the firm, she
served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Jil Mazer-Marino in the United States
Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York, where she managed a broad
range of corporate and consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 matters. In that role, she
drafted judicial opinions and legal memoranda, and researched state and federal legal
issues, and assisted with hearings, trials, and case strategy.
Before serving as a law clerk, Caitlyn interned with the same court. Caitlyn also gained
experience supporting litigation, regulatory, and corporate matters through prior legal
internships. Her work included assisting with securities and employment litigation,
regulatory compliance issues, and commercial transactions. She has also worked on
matters involving intellectual property, due diligence, and contract drafting.
Caitlyn earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law, where she served as
Executive Affairs Editor of the American Bankruptcy Law Review and as a Legal Writing
Teaching Assistant. During law school, she held leadership positions with the
Bankruptcy Law Society and the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society.
She received her B.S., summa cum laude, from St. John’s University.
